January 24, 2012 - Day 24

Well. As far as shitty days go, today about takes the cake. Between 2 hours waiting at the urgent care walk in, 6 hours in emerg (both while soaked and frozen), X-rays and coming home with a cast, it was not by any means a great day. Nonetheless, it could have been worse. So, gratitude for today:

- Mom bringing me dry socks and shoes halfway through my wait at emerg.
- Nice security guards who beat up the chip machine when it ate my money
- Funny paramedics who made the day a little less crappy. Never underestimate the power of laughter!
- Taking less time than usual to get in, X-rayed and treated than usual (figured I'd have been there til midnight).
- My patents. They have been pretty immensely helpful today.
